SVERRE ERIXSON

It can be tough to grow up in the shade

of a large tree. As an artist and son of one

of the great Swedish painters in the 1900s,

"X:et," his artworks were certainly compared.

Sverre Erixson (born in 1932) had begun

a music education in Rome (violin) -

but the artistic vein was stronger and he

devoted himself increasingly to painting.

He was admitted to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in

Stockholm and became a student of e.g. Bror Hjorth.

After his debut at the legendary Petra,

he belonged to the circle around "Färg & Form".

The musical traces can be sensed in his vivid

and colorful paintings and sculptures.
